Clifton has extensive experience with education, brand management, marketing communications, customer research, sales support and training, and project management for tech startups, multinationals, non-profits, and government agencies in the architecture, engineering, manufacturing, media, education, and publishing sectors. He has deep knowledge of sustainability, MEP, lighting, and LED technology, is well connected to the Bay Area, national, and international AEC and lighting and AEC communities, and is passionate about lighting, sustainable building, and behavioral issues in the built environment. He is an active writer and speaker, with extensive experience in event program development and curriculum for professional development. He was Program Director for the LightSpec and Strategies in Light conferences; Marketing Communications Manager for Soraa; Director of Business Development at Integral Group; and founder and CEO of customer research firm BrandSequence.
